Britney Spears’ Dad Jamie Loses His Leg After Suffering From Nasty Infection

According to some insiders, Britney Spears is considering reconnecting with her estranged father after he suffered a pretty terrifying medical incident last month.

Sources say her father, Jamie, underwent knee replacement surgery a couple months ago, and shortly after leaving the hospital, he developed an infection.

Doctors tried to operate on the knee five different times, but sadly they just couldn’t remove the infection, so in order to save his life, they had to amputate his leg.

The news comes two months after Page Six exclusively reported that the 71-year-old was ‘seriously ill’ and had been in and out of hospitals, including a facility for infectious disease patients.

Britney had been set on not working things out with Jamie, due to how he treated her while in the conservatorship, but now that he’s suffering with so many medical issues, she’s slowly changing her mind.

You’ll remember, Britney claims Jamie was an alcoholic who forced her to go to rehab multiple times and used her “success” to help his cash flow.

Britney had also been on the outs with her mother, Lynne Spears, during her conservatorship battle, but they reconciled earlier this year. Lynne, 68, was photographed attending her daughter’s 42nd birthday party last Friday.
