A little over two years ago, Bob Saget’s sudden death shocked the world. For those who don’t remember, the comedian/actor was found dead inside his hotel room in Florida after performing at a comedy show. There is still some mystery regarding his death, but it’s believe he slipped and fell inside the bathroom, hitting the back of his head.
He then went to sleep and never woke up. Doctors believe he suffered a brain bleed and didn’t know it before going to sleep.
Saget was married to 44-year-old Kelly Rizzo when he passed away. They had been dating since 2015 and married three years later in 2018.
Now, two years after his passing, Rizzo has “moved on” with 49-year-old actor, Breckin Meyer. You may remember him from the 2000 comedy classic, Road Trip. And we’re not saying “classic” sarcastically, we truly believe it’s a classic.
Anyway, Rizzo and Meyer debuted their relationship in February at the Grammys viewing party. A few weeks later, they attended a friend’s wedding together in Mexico, where they were spotted kissing.
Some fans have been hating on her, claiming she’s moving on too quickly following the death of Saget. But it’s been two years, how long is someone supposed to suffer alone?
She went on her TikTok account this past weekend to speak directly to the people hating on her new relationship…
The vast, vast, vast majority of all of the comments and feedback and support and everything I’ve gotten since Bob passed, 99 percent has been positive and lovely and wonderful. But there are some people who just love to talk. You just don’t understand the incredibly complex and difficult and dynamic thoughts and feelings that come up during this entire process.
Rizzo explained how she didn’t start dating until 18 months after Bob’s death, and it took her 12 months to even entertain the idea again.
She also revealed Bob’s daughters gave her their blessing…
In my situation, it was Bob’s daughters, Bob’s friends. They were saying, ‘It’s OK.’ So I’m like, ‘OK, it must be OK.’ But you still need to feel OK with it and [have] peace with it in your heart.
This living thing… it ain’t easy.
