Kelly Clarkson Is Suing Her Ex Husband Again, Just Months After Winning Her First Lawsuit Against Him
The drama between Kelly Clarkson and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock just won’t quit. The 41-year-old singer won a $2.6 million lawsuit against him late last year.
And now, she’s suing his a** again!
The complaint filed in Los Angeles on Monday accuses Blackstock and his father Narvel Balckstock’s management company, Starstruck Entertainment, of violating California labor laws — specifically the Talent Agencies Act — by acting as an ‘unlicensed talent agency’ that booked business deals on her behalf dating back to 2007.
It sounds very similar to the lawsuit before, so we’re assuming she’s just added more contracts and dates. She’s seeking reimbursement for commissions, fees, advances and producing fees.
Based on the wrongful acts and conduct of Starstruck … all agreements between the parties, should be declared void and unenforceable … and all monies previously paid by cross-complainants to Starstruck should be disgorged from Starstruck, forthwith.
Damn. She is coming after him. The messed up thing is she probably knew he wasn’t licensed fully, but was like, “It’s okay, babe! We’re married!” and then when he goofed up enough for her to divorce him, she’s switching it up. Can’t say I blame her.
Blackstock’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, released the statement you see below to Rolling Stone:
It is morally, ethically and legally wrong to attempt to get monies back from your ex-husband who not only helped her as her manager but who used those earnings on their children and Kelly and Brandon’s lifestyle during the marriage.
And that is the saddest thing in all this drama, they share two children together. Hopefully they’re protecting them from all the drama.
