Rebel Wilson Makes Bizarre Claims Against Sacha Baron Cohen In Upcoming Memoir
Sacha Baron Cohen has always been known as a weird dude. He’s also pretty much built an entire career out of being controversial, releasing films like Borat, The Dictator and Bruno.
But 44-year-old actress/comedian, Rebel Wilson, claims he’s more than just a weirdo, he’s an a**hole who made her feel extremely uncomfortable while they worked on the set of the 2016 film, The Brothers Grimsby.
She apparently dedicated an entire chapter to Cohen in her upcoming memoir, Rebel Rising, which is set to be released next week. PEOPLE obtained an excerpt from the chapter in question. Wilson wrote that every time she spoke to “SBC” he’d mention that he wanted her to get naked in a future scene.
RW goes on to describe one particular alleged incident on set, in which she claims he summoned her one day to film an extra scene in Cape Town — but then alleges he dropped his pants in front of her and said, ‘Okay, now I want you to stick your finger up my ass.’
She claims she was terrified and managed to get out of the situation by simply slapping his ass. It’s worth noting that Cohen’s team responded to the allegations by providing nine anonymous statements from crew members who worked on the movie. They all say Wilson knew the scene was going to happen and was well aware of the situation.
Rebel, however, counters that … writing in her book that she actually talked to a lawyer about it all — and in the end, she says she bit the bullet and buried the whole thing by laughing it off. One thing she does say … she told producers she wouldn’t be promoting the film.
Sounds like the producers and Cohen didn’t do a good job of creating a safe environment for Wilson. She obviously felt uncomfortable, and you know they must have picked up on it.
By the way, it seems like Cohen’s lawyers tried to get the chapter removed from the book because Wilson posted this in her Instagram Stories…
