A Petty Jam? Buckingham Palace Promotes A Strawberry Jam Days After Meghan Markle Releases Line Of Jam
One month ago, Meghan Markle announced her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, on her social media accounts. She had apparently been working on the building blocks of this brand for a year.
And just a handful of days ago, the brand released its first product: jars of fresh jam.
Friends of the Duchess took to social media to share photos of the jelly stamped with the company’s name and logo wrapped in a rustic cloth and a string bow.
Okay, so what? Seems like a pretty boring story, right? Well, just days after Markle released these jams, Buckingham Palace Shop’s Instagram shared a video promoting their very own royal strawberry preserve.
In the video accompanied by the soothing tones of Mozart, a woman’s hand is shown slathering the jam on a scone, a crumpet, a croissant, and on toast.
Damn. That’s super petty. I like how Markle’s whole thing was she felt bullied by the royal family, and they’re like, “What? No way!” and yet every action they take against her is a form of bullying.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Markle and Prince Harry intentionally dramatize things for money, but at the same time, it’s clear the royals never really liked her. I have no doubt she faced some shady business from them throughout the years.
