Beloved Actor Steve Buscemi Was Sucker-Punched While Walking In New York City
We thought everyone loved actor Steve Buscemi, but apparently there’s at least one psycho walking the streets of NYC who is not a fan.
The 66-year-old star was walking down the street in Manhattan, looking at his cell phone, when a man came up behind him and sucker punched him.
This incident happened in broad daylight, and apparently, the attacker took off before anyone could catch him. Buscemi was treated at the hospital for swelling to his face and eye. He also had some bleeding as well.
Thankfully, his reps confirmed he’s doing just fine now. He still has a black eye, but he’s on the road to recovery.
The NYPD has yet to make an arrest in the case, but the department has disseminated images of the unidentified suspect to encourage anyone who recognizes him to call Crimestoppers.
Attacks like this have been happening quite frequently in NYC. Bethenny Frankel was attacked in a similar manner while walking in NYC, along with Rick Moranis and Michael Stuhlbarg.
Of course, more recently one specific attack in NYC’s been on the country’s brain … when video of a man sneaking up on a woman and choking her unconscious with a belt before allegedly raping her went viral.
