Rumors Confirmed — Cory Monteith Dies Of Drug/Alcohol Mix

Sadly, the rumors have all turned out to be true. Canadian authorities have announced that the 31-year-old actor died because of a deadly combination of heroin and alcohol. Not much else is known, but the British Columbia Coroners Service noted in their report that the actor had, “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.”

This confirms what everyone suspected. Monteith had a long history of drug abuse and sadly it seems like he just couldn’t get past it. He went to rehab a few times, mostly recently a 30-day stay in rehab this past April.
