Three 6 Mafia’s ‘Lord Infamous’ Dies At 40
Some sad news to report this Christmas week. Ricky ‘Lord Infamous’ Dunigan, one of the founding members of Three 6 Mafia, was found dead inside his mother’s house on Dec. 20.
His official cause of death has not been confirmed, but his half-brother DJ Paul told The Hollywood Reporter that he died in his sleep from a heart attack.
He told THR the following,
[more…]“He passed away in his sleep from a heart attack. He said he was tired, he wanted to sleep. He sat down at the kitchen table, put his head in his arms to lay down … to get some sleep.”
Tragically, he never did wake up from the nap. His mother had left the house while he was asleep, and she found his dead body still at the table when she returned.
“He’ll be remembered as a legend, everybody knew him as a legend, an icon. This year was going to make our twenty-fourth year rapping together. His music, our music that we made together, was truly before its time.”
We can only imagine how difficult it was for his poor mother. Losing a child is hard enough, but just a few days before Christmas? That’s just terrible.
Our thoughts go out to his family.
