The Search Has Ended For Country Singer Craig Strickland After Officials Find His Body

We have been reporting on the search for Craig Strickland for a week now, and sadly the search will not have a happy ending. After he and his friend, Chase Morland, were declared missing last Monday, friends and family members began searching for them in a small area just north of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Morland was found dead early on in the search. Investigators found his body in Kaw Lake. In addition to Morland, they also found Strickland’s dog, who was miraculously still alive.

The search for Strickland went on for another week. Friends and family regularly posted on social media to keep everyone posted. Asking for everyone’s thoughts and prayers, and telling everyone how amazing Strickland was to his friends and family.

A spokesperson for Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed they had found the singer’s body yesterday. It’s believed both men drowned while trying to battle the extreme weather conditions brought on by Winter Storm Goliath.
