Adam Sandler Backs Up His Boy Chris Rock Following The Slap Heard Round The World
After most celebrities showed an odd amount of support for Will Smith following his mini outburst at the Oscars, where he slapped Chris Rock for a fairly tame joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, some celebrities are finally speaking out in support of Rock.
Adam Sandler, who has been friends with Rock for a long time, went on his Instagram account and posted a photo of the comedian, promoting his already planned ‘Ego Death‘ world tour with Kevin Hart.
Sandler captioned the photo, “Can’t for this. Love you buddy!”
It’s a clever show of support. He didn’t mention Will Smith, but it’s clear where his loyalty lies, and that’s with Chris.
It seems like most comedians are backing Chris in this fight, most likely because they’d like to be able to continue to tell jokes on stage without getting slapped.
Both Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert went hard on Will Smith during their shows on Monday. Kimmel made several little jabs at Will, but it was Colbert who hit the hardest.
Check out his recap of the events below…
The good news for Rock? Tickets for his comedy tour are flying off the shelves. So who knows, maybe Will Smith accidentally put some cash in his pocket.
