Elon Musk Reportedly Threatened To “Burn Down” Warner Bros. If They Fired Amber Heard From ‘Aquaman 2’
If you were following the court battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard back in 2022, then you probably remember how Heard claimed Warner Bros. wanted to fire her from ‘Aquaman 2‘ due to her issues with Depp. The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘ star had a lot of pull with the studio and reportedly wrote a letter bad mouthing her.
But he wasn’t the only one writing letters. In a new report from Variety, it was revealed Elon Musk wrote a threatening letter to Warner Bros. after he learned that Heard might be fired from the Aquaman sequel. He and Amber were “close friends” at the time, but obviously he cared a lot about her.
A source with knowledge of the behind-the-scenes battle told the outlet that the tech giant had one of his attorneys send a ‘scorched-earth letter to Warner Bros. threatening to burn the house down’ if his then-girlfriend was fired from the sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
And apparently the note worked because Warner Bros. decided not to fire Heard, although, they did greatly reduce her screen time.
Reps for Musk, Heard, Warner Bros. and DC Studios, the production company behind the film, did not immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment on the validity of the letter or whether it was the sole reason that the actress was allowed to proceed with the project.
This wouldn’t be the first time Musk has helped Heard. He reportedly gave her a $1 million donation to help her complete her pledge following her divorce with Depp. You’ll remember she promised to donate her $7 million divorce settlement to charity, but she came up a little short, so Musk allegedly stepped in to help.
Pretty crazy to think how giving away $1 million is nothing for Musk. That’s just a drop in the bucket. The dude is worth over $250 billion.
