Sean Kingston Arrested In California On Theft And Fraud Charges After Raid On His Florida Home
Somebody call 9-1-1… Sean Kingston has been arrested! The 34-year-old singer, responsible for hits like “Fire Burning” and “Beautiful Girls” was arrested in California this week.
The arrest comes after police in Florida raided his home. He apparently had warrants out for his arrest for numerous fraud and theft charges.
The Fire Burning singer’s arrest is reportedly connected to his ongoing legal battle with Ver Ver Entertainment, which sued him in February for unpaid fees related to the sale and installation of a 232-inch television.
An attorney for the company claims Kingston “has a sales pitch that he goes through to defraud people,” and accused him of organized fraud.
And get this, police in Florida arrested Kingston’s 61-year-old mother, Janice, so apparently this is a family business. It appears both Sean and his mother have been bailed out.
Sean went on his Instagram Story to let his fans know he’s not worried about the charges at all…
The company suing him claims he has over $1 million worth of watches inside his home that were all obtained illegally. We’ll see how this plays out in court, but it’s worth noting, this isn’t the first time Kingston has been in trouble with the law.
In 2016, he was sued for over $300,000 for purchasing jewelry he couldn’t afford.
Safe to say, Kingston likes the finer things in life… if only he made enough hits to afford them all!
