How Much is Simon Cowell Worth?
Well, despite saving money on his wardrobe, which consists of a pack of white Hanes V-neck T-shirts, Simon Cowell has managed to amass a fortune; even bigger than I thought.
In 2011 he hit the 200 million pound mark. That’s $330 million US dollars, according to Britain’s Sunday Times. (Of course I read the British Sunday Times…don’t you?)
Simon Cowell has been going head to head with Simon Fuller for years, but he’s got a ways to go before he’s even sniffing Fuller’s money.
What some people don’t know is, Simon Fuller is the creator of the “Idol” franchise, and he is ranked 5th in Britain’s list of music industry moguls. Fuller’s personal wealth is estimated at 375 million pounds, which is $615 million US dollars. People continue to give Cowell credit for “Idol” which he deserves, but only for making it popular, not for it’s creation.
Cowell is trying to get a bump in 2011 with a new deal as a producer with Britain’s ITV channel and his big US debut, “The X Factor”.
Who’s in number one? Clive Calder. I never heard of this guy, but he’s sitting on $1.3 billion dollars. He was the former owner of Zomba Records which he sold in 2002.
Forbes has Clive in at 2.4 billion and living in the Cayman Islands, but what do they know?
Here is the total list:
1. Clive Calder (1.3 billion)
2. Andrew Lloyd Webber (680 million)
3. Cameron Mackintosh (675 million)
4. Paul McCartney (495 million)
5. Simon Fuller (375 million)
