Bill Maher and Elisabeth Hasselbeck go to War, while the rest of the View ladies take Bill’s side [video]

This all came from a comment that Bill made on his show, almost 9 months ago.  On his show Maher said,

“New rule: now that Hosni Mubarak has released Lara Logan, he must put her intrepid hotness on a plane immediately. In exchange, we will send Elisabeth Hasselbeck.”

That is super funny if you ask me…but no one was asking me, especially Elisabeth.  She was hot.  They aired the clip on the View and Hasselbeck did what she does (what they all do, except Joy).  She went into an annoying, holier than thou rant.

“I try to only debate real men over the airways but will depart to address Billy Maher.”

So earlier this week, Maher was on the show and ended up having to face the music.  Elisabeth who just couldn’t laugh off a comedian’s reference in her pursuit of ultimate perfection went in on Bill.

“I just wanted to go back to a time that bothered me, not for my personal reasons but for women… In February of last year, Lara Logan was in Egypt and she was brutally attacked there… You can’t sit here right now and tell me I’m wrong for saying, ‘That wasn’t that funny.’”

Bill’s response was exactly right on the button,

“We do a comedy show for an audience that’s perhaps different than your audience. You’re a public figure. My comment was not aimed at you personally. But when you are a public figure, you are out there and your fodder for comedians to make comments on.”

Joy as a comedian sided with Maher and Barbara kept trying to move on, but Hasselbeck was Hasselbitch. You almost feel sorry for her because she feels like she needs to redeem herself.  Her flawless complexion of a person now has a zit that she must pop, which only exposes her insecurities.  She should see going after Mahar like going after me and my little website.  Who cares, laugh it off and keep it moving.  Instead she added a few more pimples.
