Lil’ Wayne

Lil Wayne Says he’s Trading Rapping for Skateboarding; Fulltime!!

It’s got to be the jeggings.  They went right to his head!

In the wake of Lil Wayne’s newest mixtape entitled Dedication 4, he announced that he is putting rap aside to skateboard.

Yes that’s absurd, but at almost age 30 Lil Wayne says that he’s actually bored with Rapping and that skateboarding, unexpectedly became a lifestyle for him.

“I picked up the skateboard and I thought it’d be a hobby and what happened is it’s a lifestyle, In order to be fully committed, you have to live that lifestyle. With these young kids now, you have to be about that life. It’s kind of putting rap on the back burner. Rap’s taken a backseat to skating.”

Wayne has been doing the rap thing since he joined Cash Money at the age of 9.  He was part of the rap group B.G.’s. Before Rick Ross caught a blaze, Wayne was literally on every other song on the radio for the last three years.  He says that he owes the fans a break,

“I kinda feel like I deserve that. I feel like the fans deserve a lil’ no Wayne, I’ve been everywhere. I’ve been out on everybody’s song, I’m still on everybody’s song, my artists are doing awesome. I believe the fans deserve some peace from me. I be on my skateboard in the meantime.”

Wayne also addressed the claims by Jas Prince that his company “Young Money” owes him millions.  Or should I say he dismissed the claims.

SIDBAR: Jas Prince says that he found Drake on myspace and introduced him to Lil Wayne and had a deal where he was to see a share of Drakes earnings.  Prince says he never saw a dime.

Wayne says,

“My first time hearing about it was yesterday. All I can say is that it’s not true. I really have no response. I’m just making a lot of money over here and it’s a lot of fun over here. My daughter is beautiful and my son’s awesome.”

BTW – in case you didn’t know, Lil Wayne is worth 80 million.  So when he says he’s making a lot of money, he ain’t lying.
