Carrie Ann Inaba Breaks Engagement with E-harmony Boyfriend Jesse Sloan
Carrie Ann Inaba has called it quits. She has ended her engagement with her accountant boyfriend Jesse Sloan.
Everyone thinks this is new news, but it’s not. They ended their engagement early this summer; Carrie Ann just hasn’t been relevant, and now she is.
With the 15th Season of Dancing With the Stars getting ready to smash the ratings, premiering on September 24th, everything DWTS related is now news! This includes Carrie.
So the first question she is asked is, “How are the wedding plans?” Jesse Sloan proposed on national TV so it’s fair game.
Inaba’s rep confirmed the that the engagement was indeed toast and has been for months,
“They decided early in the summer to break off their engagement and have remained friends,”
In case you were wondering..she really met Jesse Sloan on E-harmony! If that’s not an endorsement for the dating site, I’m not sure what is. She said after failed attempts from dating a lot of younger guys, she needed something different. She explained,
“I was dating all these younger guys. I was like, ‘Maybe I need to change it up a little’, I didn’t put up a picture, I didn’t put anything about who I was. I was like, ‘You need to be sexy. I need to be attracted to you.’ I really put exactly what I wanted. ‘I love cats!’”
Jesse put in work. He talked to her online for months before knowing what she even looked like. If you have dated online, then you know how dangerous that could be. Inaba said that there was instant familiarity when she saw his photos,
“In his picture, I felt like I already knew him. He took a risk because he didn’t know what I looked like or anything.
A few months later, I finally sent a picture. (It was) me in Hawaii with no makeup. We finally went out (on) a supervised date. We went over to my friend’s house. It was awesome!”
Sloan Proposed Live on TV!
Back in March of last year, during an episode of Live! With Regis and Kelly where Inaba was guest co-hosting, Sloan rolled up with a 2 1/2-carat princess-cut diamond, and dropped to his knees,
“I’ve struggled to find the words to express what you mean to me, You’re an inspiration, you’re beautiful, you’re wonderful, you’re everything to me. Will you marry me?”
Not only did Inaba say yes, she was also excited to start having a family . At age 43 she was eager to get the baby making underway. Back in October told Access Hollywood,
“We don’t have to be married to have the baby. My age at 43, I have to get moving on the baby. The wedding can come later,”
She also seemed to embrace the idea of getting married but admitted that she sucked at planning,
“I don’t know, I’m not a good wedding planner, I suck… I don’t want to plan, I’m doing private… I wanna do backyard and I wanna do beach.”
So what the hell happened? There has been no further information regarding the breakup but the two appeared to be happy – but this is Hollywood. I will keep my ear to the ground on this one.
