The Cast of the CW’s 90210

The CW Pulls the Plug on 90210. Low Ratings drives Early Cancellation

After five seasons 90210 is over again.  The CW is announcing that Monday May 13th the show will air its final episode.

The show actually had a better run then I thought it would.  It never had the storylines or the ability to create the buzz like the original.  The show lasted half as long as its predecessor.  The original ran 10 seasons and launched a dozen careers. It was a cultural phenomenon.

The CW President, Mark Pedowitz announced it via a statement to media outlets,

“The CW has had five great seasons with America’s favorite zip code, 90210,”

I’d like to thank the talented cast, producers, and crew for all their hard work and dedication to the series. We are very proud of the West Beverly High alumni.”

February 18th’s viewing audience was an all-time low with just 928,000 viewers.  The final episode will star Michael Jackson’s son, Prince Jackson.  I guess anything to bring in some more viewers, but in this case – Too little, Too late.
