The Voice Finale: Who Won?

After a pretty successful season ratings and talent wise, the 4th season of NBC’s hit show The Voice has sadly ended. There were three potential winners last night. Team Blake’s Danielle Bradberry and The Swon Brothers and Team Usher’s Michelle Chamuel.

So, who went home with the title?

Danielle Bradberry! The 16-year-old from Texas became the youngest singer to ever win the show. After it was announced that she had won, she started to cry and was completely speechless. The robot that is Carson Daly kept trying to shove a microphone in her face, but all she could say was, “Thanks.” Her family rushed the stage and there more tears and hugs to go around. They then asked her to sing a song, but of course she couldn’t sing it.

After she had time to think about what just happened and take it all in, she walked the post-finale red carpet and talked to reporters,

“Me and Michelle were holding onto each other, shaking. When I heard my name, I could not believe it. It’s going to take a while to sink in, but I’m just embracing the moment while it’s here. (The fans) were all so supportive and hopefully I touched a lot of hearts out there to vote for me and keep supporting me. Hopefully, that worked. They’ve been sticking by my side forever and hopefully will continue to.”

There might only be one person who is happier than Danielle right about now. Blake Shelton. This was Shelton’s third row in a win! I’m not sure if that’s just because his big country fan base votes for whoever is on his team, or if he’s really good at coaching his contestants. I honestly think it’s a little bit of both. He’s also really good about picking contestants he knows he will be able to handle. But CeeLo and Christina will be back next season, so Blake might have to work a little harder to win that 4th title.

Overall, it was a pretty well put together finale. I have to give NBC props on how well everything turned out. The performances were great, I even enjoyed that weird performance with Nelly and that horrible country band. And they somehow managed to get a performance from Cher! You don’t really see too much of her, so it was good to see her on stage.

The 5th season of the show will start this fall with Ceelo and Christina coming back. Usher and Shakira will be back for the 6th season.
