Julia Louis-Dreyfus Talks About Getting Old

The 52-year-old actress has been in the entertainment business for a long time and she has aged right in front of our eyes. She’s gone from playing Elaine on Seinfeld to starring in her very own show Veep on HBO.

And now Julia is the cover girl for Health magazine this month and she talked with the magazine about getting older,

“Getting older (is my secret to body confidence). It’s like, ‘Yeah, this is who I am, f–k off’ as opposed to, ‘This is who I am, I’m sorry.’ You know, there’s something about getting older and owning who you are that is a good thing.”

The actress did admit that she often does think about getting plastic surgery. However, her husband is against it and she is terrified of surgery.

She also opened up to the magazine about what it is like to see yourself age on camera,

“A weird thing, though, is that watching yourself age on camera is amazing. Well, it’s not amazing, but it is a bizarre thing to witness in public. All of a sudden, when I turn my head, it’s like, ‘What the hell is that doing there?’ That definitely wasn’t there before! It’s called a neck that goes bad.”

I know how she feels. I’m only 22, but I have noticed that I am starting to make noises when I get off the couch. Oh, and I haven’t stayed awake past midnight in probably 3-4 months. I’m starting this “getting old” thing a little too early.
