Ryan Gosling ‘Star Wars’ Rumor Is Not True

As some of you know, there were reports going around that Ryan Gosling had met up with J.J. Abrams to discuss starring in, “Star Wars: Episode VII”

The reports claimed a meeting took place to discuss the possibility of Ryan playing Luke Skywalker’s son in the movie. This made thousands of female nerds across the country scream with joy. However, their happiness appears to be short lived, because a rep for Ryan Gosling is denying the entire thing.

In a brief e-mail to the Huffington Post, Ryan’s rep simply said, “This is not true” speaking about the rumors. And if you think about it, the report seemed kind of fishy to begin with. Remember that Ryan Gosling has talked about taking a “break” from acting, so it wouldn’t make much sense for him to take on a big role like this.

Another name being thrown in the Star Wars hat is Zac Efron. Reports claim that he might be in the running, as well. He has yet to confirm or deny those reports, so there could be some truth to them. Although, I just don’t see Zac Efron starring in a Star Wars film, but who knows? Stranger things have happened.

Honestly, I’ve never even watched a Star Wars film all the way through. So, I guess it’s not really fair for me to say that I can’t see Zac Efron starring in one. He might be perfect for the film! Maybe they’ll make it a musical, I am sure that would be a hit with the hardcore fans.
