Randy “Dawg” Jackson Returning To American Idol

Yo, uh, dude…the dawg is back! It was reported a few months back that Randy Jackson would not be returning as a judge on American Idol, but that doesn’t mean he’s done with the show!

New reports are coming out that claim Randy Jackson will take over Jimmy Iovine’s role as a mentor to the contestants throughout the upcoming 2014 season. This change will be one of many for the dying show.

As most of you know, Jennifer Lopez will reportedly be returning to the show as a judge. Keith Urban will be the only judge from last season that will still be on the new season. However, it’s unclear who the other judge, or judges will be.

Idol has apparently reached out to Kanye West and Diddy, but they both reportedly turned down Idol’s offer. Kanye allegedly turned it down because American Idol is just too mainstream for him.

And now Idol is getting desperate because there are reports that claim Scooter Braun might be offered a role as a judge. That’s right, the manage of Justin Bieber just might be one of the new judges on American Idol. I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t exactly make me want to watch the show.

It’s a shame that Kanye turned down their offer. That might have actually saved the show, but now it’s looking like Idol’s declining ratings will only get worse.
