Sarah Silverman Has A Heart, Writes Obituary For Her Dog

Sarah Silverman is known for her crude jokes, obnoxious voice and her ability to suck her way to the top. She comes off as cold and heartless, but there was one thing that apparently warmed her heart and that was her dog of 14 years, Duck.

The controversial comedian wrote an, “obituary type thing” for her dog on WhoSay this past weekend and it really did touch a lot of people’s hearts,

She wrote the following on her Twitter account yesterday,

“Duck left me today but I forgive him.”

She then went on WhoSay to write what she called an, “obituary type thing.” She shared that she had rescued Duck 14 years ago from a no-kill shelter in California. She wrote that he was, “a happy dog, though serene. And stoic. And he loved love.”

However, his health had been declining the past few years. He had become blind, deaf and arthritic. Just recently he stopped eating and drinking, and that is when Sarah knew it was time to let him go.

“I couldn’t figure out his hunger strike. Duck had never been political before. And then, over the weekend, I knew. It was time to let him go. I held him and kissed him and whispered to him well passed his passing.

I picked him up and his body was limp — you don’t know think about the head — it just falls. I held him so tight. And then finally, when his body lost its heat, and I could sense the doctor thinking about imminent rush hour traffic, I handed him over.”

Well, that’s depressing. I haven’t been this sad over a dog’s passing since Marley died, actually I wasn’t that sad over Marley’s death. It’s just something about Owen Wilson’s acting, I can never take the dude seriously. I know it was a sad movie, but Owen Wilson just makes me laugh.

Anyway, Sarah Silverman also wrote the following…

“It always tickled me that even though we were different species, he was my best friend.”

Ah, come on Sarah! Is it really all that surprising? We all know how much male dogs love their bitches!
