Hugh Jackman Has Skin Cancer?
The great Wolverine revealed yesterday that he has skin cancer on his nose. The actor posted the picture you see down below to his Instagram account with a caption that read,
[more…]“Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had basil cell carcinoma. Please don’t be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!”
Some wise words from the 45-year-old actor. A lot of people his age are starting to notice little spots on their body, and it all goes back to not protecting their skin when they were younger. It just goes to show you that even Wolverine can get skin cancer. If he can get it, you can get it. That’s how I look at every medical condition in life.
“Can Wolverine get it? Oh he can? Well, sh-t…we better all start wearing long sleeve shirts now.” Welcome to my mind.
Anyway, in case you are wonder what the heck “basil cell carcinoma” is, we have snagged some info from the Skin Cancer Foundation website.
“(Basil Cell Carcinomas) are abnormal, uncontrolled growths or lesions … (which) often look like open sores, red patches, pink growths, shiny bumps, or scars. Only in exceedingly rare cases can BCC spread to other parts of the body and become life-threatening.”
That doesn’t sound good, it’s a good thing had that thing taken care of. Always listen to your wife, folks! She knows best.
