Joe Jonas Opens Up About Drug Use and Losing Virginity

As most of you know, Joe Jonas and his brothers recently made headlines by announcing their band was coming to an end. This news broke the hearts of dozens, maybe even hundreds of teenage girls around the world.

Well, now that Joe Jonas is free from Disney and free from his brothers, he’s discussing some controversial topics in an article with New York Magazine.

In the revealing article, he talked about the Jonas brothers break up. He admitted that he was furious when Nick first brought up the idea of breaking up, “I’d spent so long working with my brothers on this band, and in my mind, it felt like we were just giving up. It didn’t make sense to me.” He said.

However, after he calmed down and thought about things, he realized it was for the best.

“But once I started peeling back the layers, I understood. There were a lot of dysfunctional things going on. The music was getting stale, too, because we’d write it and record it and then it would sit around for a long time.”

And then he opened about the first time he tried weed,

“The first time I smoked weed was with Demi and Miley. I must have been 17 or 18. They kept saying, “Try it! Try it!” so I gave it a shot, and it was all right. I don’t even smoke weed that often anymore.”

Wait a minute, when he was 17 or 18? So, Miley and Demi were only 14 or 15 and they were pressuring someone to smoke weed? Way to go, Disney.

Anyway, he also opened up about losing his virginity…

“We decided to take the rings off a few years ago. I lost my virginity when I was 20. I did other stuff before then, but I was sexually active at 20. I’m glad I waited for the right person, because you look back and you go, ‘That girl was bats— crazy. I’m glad I didn’t go there’.”

So, there you have it. Joe Jonas is an open book right now. It’s amazing what one will admit when they’re no longer being controlled by the machine.
