Chris Martin Talks About His Split From Gwyneth Paltrow…We Think?
Nothing can ever be easy with Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow. They always have to twist and spin things to make themselves look better in front of their fans. They never come out and just say what they’re feeling.
Every single time they open their mouth you just know they have been rehearsing that line for months. And Chris Martin’s new interview with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe is no different.
The 37-year-old Coldplay frontman talked about the band’s new album, Ghost Stories. Did his relationship breakdown with Paltrow fuel the songs on this album?
[more…]“I wouldn’t use the word breakdown. This was more a realization about trying to grow up basically. Like I said, if you can’t open yourself up, you can’t appreciate the wonder inside. So you can be with someone very wonderful, but because of your own issues you cannot let that be celebrated in the right way.
What changed for me was—I don’t want to go through life being scared of it, being scared of love, being scared of rejection, being scared of failure.”
What the f–k does that mean? We have no idea. It’s just another example of Paltrow and Martin trying their best to appear more complicated than they actually are.
Martin did talk about other things in the lengthy interview. He admitted to having a pretty big crush on One Direction.
“I think One Direction are the biggest band in the world. Their songs are great. I’m saying One Direction are brilliant and I’m not kidding. You know why? Because their songs are really good and I don’t think that any of them are going to go solo. I think they appreciate their chemistry from watching their movie.”
Biggest doesn’t always mean best, Martin.
