David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) Helps Solve Stabbing Case In New York City
You ever come home from work, turn on the television and waste two hours watching reruns of Friends? And then do you find yourself wondering what everyone in the group is doing now?
Well, David Schwimmer is apparently helping New York City police solve violent crimes. According to CNN, the 47-year-old actor helped NYPD solve a stabbing that happened just outside of his Manhattan home.
The report states that David invited the NYPD into his townhouse Monday morning “to view his surveillance video of a bloody brawl that took place in the adjacent apartment building.” Apparently, the brutal fight was sparked by the theft of a computer. There were three people involved in the fight, and one of them had severe stab wounds to the face.

“Police said that prior to viewing Schwimmer’s footage, they only had the stories of those involved to rely on for evidence.”
The police department and David’s neighbors are glad he showed police the video. It was a smart move on his part, considering his ugly history with his neighbors. Schwimmer pissed off his neighbors when he first moved in with his extensive construction.
A neighbor told the New York Post the following…
“Four years ago, I would say David Schwimmer was the least popular guy on the block with the construction and all. But he has turned out to be a decent neighbor, and I am glad to hear he helped the cops with that stabbing.”
Doesn’t that sound like such a Ross thing to do? Piss off neighbors with loud construction, and then win them back with something as random as a brutal stabbing.
