Kim Kardashian Ruins ALS Ice Bucket Challenge On ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ (VIDEO)

Okay, that title might be a little unfair. The Ice Bucket Challenge was ruined a long time ago. We can blame Kim Kardashian for a lot of things, but I suppose we can’t put this on her big ol’ booty. Although, her attempt at the Ice Bucket Challenge on the Ellen Show was pretty pathetic.

The 33-year-old reality star was challenged by a number of people, including designer Giuseppe Zanotti and Sarah Jessica Parker. It took her a few weeks to answer the challenge, but she decided to finally take the plunge during her appearance on Ellen.

This is why I dislike the challenge now. The only thing she cared about was getting a perfect selfie. This wasn’t the “ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.” It was a Kim Kardashian photo shoot, and the bucket of ice cold water was just lucky enough to be in it.

Don’t get me wrong, I think this viral event has succeeded in raising a lot of money and awareness for the disease; however, it now just feels so disconnected. Does anyone really care about the people suffering from this debilitating disease? Or is it just about looking good on Facebook?
