Hudson Siblings Get Disowned …And Don’t Care

Oliver Hudson, brother of Kate Hudson and star of Nashville, recently got publicly disowned by his father when he posted the  picture above on Instagram of him, his sister and their biological father Bill Hudson with the cringeworthy caption “Happy Abandonment Day”.  Oliver of course was referring to the fact that his musician dad was not around after his split with Goldie Hawn; however insiders say the Instagram post was supposed to be a joke.

To add insult to injury, Kate Hudson followed up the photo with a picture of her, her brother and her mother Goldie Hawn with her long time boyfriend Kurt Russell.  Under that photo she wrote,

 “Pa, just simply … thank you. Happy Father’s Day. I love you to the moon and back,”

The implication there, is that Russell has been more of a father than Bill has ever been.

After seeing the post, Bill stated

I had five birth children but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own. I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name. They are no longer a part of my life. Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth.

Bill also went on to basically request that they stop using the Hudson name,

“I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name.  They are no longer a part of my life.  Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack,” Bill continued. “He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth.”

Quite frankly, these people are too old and too rich to be acting like this.  Honestly…..grow up.  The instagram post was juvenile and so was the response.  There is no such thing as abandonment once you are past 18 years old.  You are an adult, if you want to see your father then go, if you don’t then don’t.  Publicly shaming him on instagram is just irresponsible and claiming that your children are dead to you is just sad.

I think this entire story has gone “Overboard“.  <- – Get it?
