‘Fox & Friends’ Co-Hosts Are Really Mad At Emily Blunt Because She Hurt Their False American Pride
For those of you who don’t know, the lovely Emily Blunt became a naturalized U.S. citizen last month. And while promoting her new movie Sicario, the 32-year-old British actress made some jokes about becoming an American.
And one of those jokes made the brainless trio on Fox & Friends very angry. While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Emily had this to say…
I became an American citizen recently and that night we decided to watch the Republican debate, and I thought this was a terrible mistake. What have I done? I’m not sure I’m entirely thrilled about it. People ask me about the whole day. They were like, ‘Oh it must have been so emotional.’ I was like, ‘It wasn’t, it was sad. I like being British.’
As we mentioned above, the people on Fox & Friends didn’t like this. Co-host Anna Kooiman (who never laughs) told Emily to leave California and let some true American ladies take her place…
Why don’t you leave Hollywood, California, and let some American women take on the roles that you’re getting, because Americans are watching your movies and lining your pockets.
But wait, there’s more! They weren’t done defending America. Not even close. Mr. Steve Doocy was really hurt by Blunt’s comments. So hurt that he believes people will stop supporting the actress, just like they did with the Dixie Chicks several years ago…
You know what Emily Blunt just did? She just Dixie Chicked herself. She has alienated half the country, that now will think twice about going to one of her movies.
No she didn’t, Steve. Maybe the people watching your show agree with you, but those people aren’t going to see her movies anyway. They’re still waiting on the next Adam Sandler film to come out. Nothing is funnier than a man dressing up as a woman, am I right?
And just because freaking Steve mentioned it, let’s talk about those ungrateful Dixie Chicks! F–k them, right? Hating on America and sh-t.
Except, Natalie Maines‘ comments weren’t even that bad…
Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we’re ashamed that the president of the United States is from Texas.
That’s the quote that ended her career. And now those people who were getting mad at her for criticizing the president, are the same people sharing those, “OBAMA IS A MUSLIM…HE NOT ONE OF US!” posts on Facebook.
