It’s Over: Amber Heard Files For Divorce From Johnny Depp, Where Did Things Go Wrong?

Another celebrity marriage has failed. What else is new? Multiple sources have confirmed that Amber Heard has decided to end her marriage with Johnny Depp. She apparently filed the papers on Monday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause, which is the standard reasoning. I’m convinced couples put that no matter the cause. It could be something as simple as, “He always forgets to put the toilet seat down,” and they’ll call it irreconcilable differences.

Anyway, this split isn’t exactly surprising. There is a bit of an age difference between them. Heard is jut 30-years-old and Depp is 52, and honestly he feels a little older than that. I’m sure it’s just his personality, but he shows almost no energy during talk shows. There are times where I wonder if someone from the show should walk out and check to make sure he’s still alive.

And who could forget how miserable he looked in this video?

Sources say the Australia fiasco was the thing that made them realize there was no way their marriage was going to work.

It was a decent run for the couple. They first confirmed their relationship back in July of 2013 after they had already been dating for a few months. And then they got engaged in January of 2014. One year later they exchanged vows at Depp’s home in West Hollywood.

So, hey…a total of two or three years? That’s not bad. They should be proud of that. It’s still a little sad though, especially for Depp’s kids. Back in November of last year, Heard had this to say about life as a stepmother…
