Rebel Wilson Shares A Throwback Photo At What She Calls Her Most Unhealthiest Point

If you’ve been sleeping this past year, you may have missed the fact that Rebel Wilson dropped some weight. The actress went on The Drew Barrymore Show late last year and talked about her weight loss journey.

She revealed she dropped over 40 pounds, and what worked for her was focusing on the mental side of overeating. She had tried every fad/diet out there, and nothing worked until she started to work on herself.

So, I was working on the mental side of things of why was I doing that and why was I not valuing myself and having better self-worth. And then, also on the nutritional side my diet was mainly all carbs, which are delicious, but for my body type I needed to eat more protein.

Since her weight loss reveal, Wilson has enjoyed posting photos of her new self, but on Wednesday (August 18) she shared a throwback photo of herself.

She describes the version of herself in the photo as her most unhealthiest.

Okay so I know that I normally post flattering photos of myself…but found this old photo in my emails and was like: whoa. I remember this was when I was at my most unhealthiest. Being overweight and indulging way too much with junk food. Using food to numb my emotions.

Wilson revealed her father had passed away from a heart attack and she was going through such a difficult time.

I look back now at that girl and am so proud of what she’s become and achieved. And just wanted to send out some encouragement to everyone out there struggling with weight or body issues or emotional eating. I feel you. I know what it’s like.”

Good on her. So many people want to create this unrealistic version of themselves on social media. I mean, it’s reached the point where people will only post videos/stories of themselves with beauty filters on! It’s not even just photos anymore. People do it while recording themselves now.

It’s crazy times. No one’s perfect. We all gotta a pimple, a wrinkle, acne scars, a weird mole…whatever. IT’S NORMAL, FOLKS!

I think we should only share bad photos of ourselves so that when people meet us they’re impressed.
