’90 Day Fiance’ Star Jason Hitch Dies At 45 Due To COVID-19 Complications
Some sad news to report today. Reality TV star Jason Hitch has died at the young age of 45-years-old. Hitch appeared on the second season of 90 Day Fiance way back in 2014, before it was the juggernaut it is now.
He married a Brazilian woman named Cassia Tavares, and she moved to the US to be with him. They were married for a couple years, even starting their own mail-order snack business together. But in 2017, they decided to file for divorce.
Back in 2018, Hitch told reporters he tried everything to save their marriage, but apparently Tavares had already checked out…
I tried everything last year to save whatever we thought we had. Around her birthday I took her to Melbourne, Florida for an Army Couples retreat…but nothing worked.
Hitch’s family confirmed his death. His sister says Hitch was not vaccinated against COVID-19 and was in the ICU due to complications from the virus. However, she says in addition to the virus, he may have died from “other factors” as well, but did not offer any details.
It’s a strange thing to add considering they claim he had no pre-existing conditions. Makes you wonder what those “other factors” were.
Hitch’s ex-wife, Tavares, went on her Instagram Stories to pay her respects, writing a simple text post…
It’s always sad when someone you spent part of your life with stops breathing. I guess one could never be prepared for that. I wasn’t, today. When I started receiving messages, I thought it was a joke. I’m shocked. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in Peace, Jason.
Sad, sad stuff. If you’re not vaccinated, think about getting vaccinated! I know it’s all a little strange right now, considering the vaccine doesn’t exactly prevent you from getting the latest variant, but it is still helpful against severe symptoms, so you know… it’s not nothing.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.
