‘Love & Hip Hop’ Star Apple Watts Fighting For Her Life Following Major Car Accident

One week ago, former ‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood‘ star Apple Watts was involved in a major car accident in Baker, California, which is around three hours outside of L.A. on the way to Las Vegas.

Watts was traveling northbound when her black Mercedes and a Ford F250 collided, causing her vehicle to flip multiple times and burst into flames. Thankfully, a brave passenger in the pickup truck pulled her out of the burning vehicle.

Unfortunately though, Watts suffered major injuries. She was unresponsive when she first arrived at the hospital. According to TMZ sources, she suffered two breaks in her neck, a fractured skull and a shattered arm. Insiders say she’s still not able to verbally communicate and has not opened her eyes.

Doctors are hopeful though. They performed a successful surgery on her neck on Tuesday night, so now it’s just a waiting game. The good news is that she is breathing on her own, although she’s getting extra oxygen, in hopes it will help her heal faster.

It’s worth noting that the initial investigation into the crash did not show any findings of drugs nor alcohol, so it appears she was sober. We do not know if she or the truck driver were on their phones, but we’re sure that will be determined.

For those who don’t remember, Watts rose to fame after starring in seasons five and six of the popular VH1 series, which followed her life as a stripper trying to break into the music industry.
