Jennifer Aniston Claims She Suffered From Insomnia And Sleep Walking For Decades
Sleep is important. They say healthy adults should get between six and eight hours of sleep every night. Sleeping is basically your brain’s rest mode. It takes care of things it can’t take care of while you’re active and awake. Unfortunately though, sleep doesn’t always come easy for people.
Just ask Jennifer Aniston. The 53-year-old actress revealed in a new interview with People that she started suffering from pretty severe insomnia in her early 30s.
And at first, she didn’t notice the effects because when you’re younger, you can kinda survive on fumes for a while. But once she got more in her 40s, she started to notice the impacts of the lack of sleep.
It began as something that I would just accept and then all of a sudden you realize the effects of your lack of sleep and how it affects your day and your work and your mind function and your physique. And the more I worry about it, the harder it is to fall asleep.
She says she would just lay in bed and look at the clock, hoping she’d be able to drift asleep. And at one point, her lack of sleep caused her to deal with sleepwalking.
I’ve been woken up by house alarms going off that I’ve set off. And I don’t think I do that anymore. That was when I was super sleep deprived.
These days, Aniston sticks to a strict nighttime ritual, which includes leaving her phone outside her bedroom. She also brings up her three dogs to sleep with her because they’re “just too cozy” when they cuddle.
Experts claim the whole shutting down your phone/computer is important, but I mean, when else am I supposed to catch up on TikToks? Are you even living if you ain’t wasting hours of your days mindlessly scrolling through TikTok?
