Juror In Amber Heard/Johnny Depp Case Speaks Out, Sounds Really Dumb While Doing So

Okay, look. We know basically 95% of the internet supports Johnny Depp. The dude is basically a religious figure at this point, with his legion of fans putting the blame on Amber Heard for their leader’s fall from grace. They are basically a stronger, more determined group of fans than even Britney Spears’ army.

Thanks to the social media attack against Heard, there was basically no way for her to win the case. It was not a sequestered jury, which means they were free to go home every night and look up anything they wanted. Of course, they were instructed not to, but it was impossible to be on the internet and not see the hate being thrown at Heard. It was on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and the list goes on and on.

So the verdict in favor of Depp was not all that surprising, but what is surprising? Just how, uh, confused(?) the jury seemed to be.

A juror in the case, who did not want to be named, spoke to TMZ this week. And his statements to TMZ don’t make a lot of sense. He spoke at length about how he and some of the members of the jury felt like Heard was putting on a performance while on the stand, which is something that was being spread online. People claimed she was giving the performance of her career.

He talked about how she would cry one minute, and then appear to be “ice cold” the next.

The crying, the facial expressions, the staring at the jury, all of us were very uncomfortable. A lot of her story didn’t add up. The majority of the jury felt that she was the aggressor. She would answer one question and she would be crying and two seconds later she would turn ice cold.

It honestly sounds like this dude hasn’t had a lot of interaction with women, especially women who are detailing traumatic events. It’s extremely common to go in and out of fits of crying.

The juror went on to say that while he and the other jurors felt like the abuse was mutual, Depp felt “more real to them” when he spoke on the stand. “His emotional state was very stable throughout,” the juror said, which is just absolutely ridiculous. They’re basically punishing Heard for showing emotion.

But here’s where the juror really sounds dumb. He goes on to say that he disagrees with Heard’s comments that Depp won because he was a bigger star and seemed more likable. He claims they based their decision on evidence.

…WHAT? He just said that the jury felt like she wasn’t believable on stand. She was too emotional. She went from crying to “ice cold” and that while they believed the abuse was mutual, they sided with Depp because he seemed more real on stand! That doesn’t sound like evidence to me.

Also, if they found them both to mutually abusive, how did Depp win his defamation case? Because he was suing Heard for the op-ed she wrote, where she talked about being an abuse victim. So if they agree that Depp abused her, how did they decide to make him victorious? If anything, they both should have lost.

It certainly seems like Heard’s team will appeal this, although, the damage has already been done.
