Shawn Mendes Says He’s In Therapy, Is Not Concerned With Fans Who Booked Hotels To See Canceled Tour

We told you late last month that Shawn Mendes was cancelling the rest of his tour to focus on his mental health. He had only played a week’s worth of shows, so he cancelled the majority of his scheduled tour.

He said at the time that after spending so much time off the road (due to the pandemic) he just wasn’t ready to return. The 24-year-old singer said he wasn’t in the right headspace.

Well, TMZ cameras caught up with Mendes and he told them that he’s been in therapy and spending a lot of time with friends and family.

I’m taking a lot of time just doing therapy, just taking it easy, man. I think for me it’s just about spending time doing things that I haven’t really done over the last few years, and so having dinner with friends and stuff.

And hey, we’re all for protecting your mental health, but at the same time, he seems pretty unbothered by the fact that some of his fans might be losing out on some hard-earned money.

Those fans who purchased tickets will obviously be refunded for the ticket itself, but what about the hotel rooms they booked in advance? Or the flights?

Mendes doesn’t seem concerned.

They can figure it out. I mean, everything’s kind of workable.

Oh, man. He sounds super rich right there. That’s spoken like a man who is worth a cool $40 million. Everything is NOT workable when you don’t have money. In fact, when you don’t have money, most things are unworkable.

That’s not a good look, and honestly, if I were a fan that bought a ticket to his tour, I would not be buying another one when he decides to come back.
