‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Star NeNe Leakes’ 23-Year-Old Son Nearly Died From Heart Attack

A heart attack and stroke at 23? That’s what TMZ is claiming happened to NeNe Leakes’ 23-year-old son, Brentt Leakes.

According to sources who talked with the gossip site, Brentt is lucky to be alive after suffering both a heart attack and stroke earlier this month. Thankfully, he was quickly transported to the hospital and treated.

He was hospitalized for several days, but now he’s reportedly out and “rehabbing,” the source added.

Honestly, everyone is a little shocked by this news. A heart attack and stroke at such a young age is definitely uncommon, but it’s not impossible. Brentt does appear to be a little overweight, but nothing extreme. There’s plenty of people his size walking around and not having heart attacks, so there might be more going on than we know.

It’s been a tough year for the family. In 2021, Brentt’s father, Gregg, died after a lengthy battle with cancer, and honestly the grief could have contributed to Brentt’s health issues.

Brentt was featured on Real Housewives of Atlanta when his mother was on the show. He has nearly 70k followers on Instagram and is the club owner of the Linnethia Lounge, which is advertised as being a live entertainment lounge for guests 21 and up.

He also has a YouTube channel where he uploads videos, but the last one he posted was two months ago. Perhaps he’ll update with a video soon, explaining what exactly happened.
