Lance Reddick’s Wife Writes Emotional Tribute To The Actor After Sudden Death At Age 60
If you missed the news, ‘The Wire‘ star Lance Reddick died suddenly inside his Studio City home on the morning of the 17th. No cause of death has been released, but police believe he died of natural causes.
He was just 60-years-old, and as far as everyone knew, he was in great shape. I mean, he certainly didn’t look his age. He didn’t look a day over 50.
The actor was in the middle of doing a press tour for the fourth installment of the ‘John Wick‘ franchise. He was supposed to appear on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show‘ this week to promote the film.
Lance posted a selfie video on social media Wednesday morning, appearing to be at home with his dogs instead of attending the ‘Wick 4’ premiere in New York City … though he never mentioned why he wasn’t going to the premiere.
His wife, Stephanie Reddick, who he married back in 2011, shared a message on Instagram. She wrote an emotional tribute to her late husband, thanking all his fans for their love and support.
Lance was taken from us far too soon. Thank you for all your overwhelming love, support and beautiful stories shared on these platforms over the last day. I see your messages and can’t begin to express how grateful I am to have them. And to the thousands of Destiny players who played in special tribute to Lance, thank you. Lance loved you as much as he loved the game.
Reddick voiced Commander Zavala in the first-person shooter game series. He did a lot of voice work throughout the years in addition to his live action work. He was all over the place. Sure, most people know him from ‘The Wire’ but he was brilliant in everything he touched.
Heck, he was one of the few people who made Eric Andre break character…
He’ll be missed. That’s for sure. Hopefully his family will get some answers surrounding his death.
