Martin Lawrence Gives Update On Jamie Foxx, Claims He’s Doing Better After “Medical Complication”
It’s been ten days since Jamie Foxx was hospitalized in Georgia following a sudden medical emergency, and surprisingly, we still don’t know what the “medical complication” was.
But his friends and family claim he’s doing better. During Martin Lawrence’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony this week, he gave reporters an update on his friend.
I hear he’s doing better… My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood. Not only one of the best entertainers but a good person.
It’s a similar statement Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, gave just a couple days after Foxx’s hospitalization.
My father … experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.
At this point, we’re not even sure if he’s still in the hospital or not. We know he was staying for a few days to get more testing, but we don’t know if he’s still there. We do know he hasn’t returned to the set of the movie he was filming. Photos from the set have shown a stunt double in his place.
Speculation on the internet seems to suggest Foxx may have suffered a stroke, but we must remind you, that’s just speculation, likely based on his age. He’s approaching “stroke” age. According to the statistics, the chance of having a stroke doubles every 10 years after turning 55.
Foxx will turn 56 later this year. Our thoughts continue to go out to him. Hopefully he can make a full recovery, because like Lawrence said, the dude is a massive talent.
