Katharine McPhee Abruptly Leaves Tour After “Horrible Tragedy” In Her Family
Fans all over the world are sending prayers and good vibes to Katharine McPhee and her husband, David Foster. They had been traveling the world together as part of their tour, but during their final two shows in Asia, McPhee had to depart and go back home.
She wrote a statement on Instagram early Friday morning, revealing their family has had a horrible tragedy back home.
It looks like it’ll only be her flying back home. Foster will stay back on tour and perform the final two shows with some friends of his, including Michael Bolton and Loren Allred.
We don’t know what this “horrible tragedy” is but we’re certainly wishing them all the best. Foster’s ex-wife, Linda Thompson, commented on the post, writing, “Sending you and David love, & hoping that everything is OK.”
For those who don’t know, McPhee and Foster married back in 2019 and share a 1-year-old son named Rennie together. Foster is 73-years-old, which is a little late in life to be having another baby, but he told PageSix last year that he does not at all regret it.
I’ve loved every single day. It’s the standard thing of like, ‘Oh, well, you were so young when you had your children, and you were working day and night, you never saw them.’ And there is some truth to that, sadly, for my [older] kids. I was just working a lot. Even though I’m working a lot now, I’ll cancel anything just to hang with him. It’s just different.
