What’s Going On With Anna Paquin? Actress Walks Red Carpet With A Cane

Most of you probably know Anna Paquin from her starring role on the beloved TV series, True Blood. More recently, she starred in ‘American Underdog‘ and ‘The Affair‘

But we haven’t heard much from her the past year, and it looks like that may have something to do with a mystery illness. The 41-year-old actress walked the red carpet of her husband’s latest film, A Bit Of Light, earlier this week, and she was spotted using a cane to help her walk.

Apparently, she’s been dealing with an undisclosed health issue for the past two years that has impacted her mobility and speech. She told PEOPLE, “It hasn’t been easy,” but did not go into any details.

Instead, she gushed over her husband, Stephen Moyer…

He’s my favorite person to play with. My first love was independent filmmaking. That’s how I entered the film industry. I was working with people who were all about telling stories and telling them with integrity and truth.

A source told PEOPLE that her doctors are hopeful she makes a full recovery, but still, we have no idea what happened. This is her first time walking a red carpet since 2022 at the Raindance Film Festival. She was not using a cane then, so we’re assuming this mystery illness came just after that.
