Shhh! Rosie O’Donnell’s 18 Year Old Daughter Spills All the Tea About Life With Rosie & Why She Really Left the View (Hint: Whoopi Goldberg)
It appears that Rosie has more enemies than just Donald Trump. In fact she has a huge one that is a lot closer to her and arguably has better hair, her own 18 year old adopted daughter Chelsea. Chelsea O’Donnell sat down with the “dailymail” and put her mom on blast. She revealed some intimate and interesting details about growing up “Rosie”.
I’m not a very big fan of Rosie O’Donnell so you can imagine my smile as I type. That being said, I will also preface that what was being revealed in the interview was told from the mouth of an emotional 18 year old girl. It’s important to keep that in mind, however as I read through the lengthy article, nothing seemed to be outlandish or untrue and I have to admit, not really surprising…but interesting to say the least. It’s celebrity Gossip. The daily Mail did their best but the flow and format of their story was basically a vomitorium of quotes and references. We tried our best to deliver it rehashed, less info vomit and more format.

NO.7: CHELSEAS DIDN’T RUN AWAY
One of the big catalysts for Chelsea coming forward in the first place is the fact that back in August, her mom posted on her own social media accounts that Chelsea was mentally ill and that she had ran away from home. Chelsea says that she didn’t run away at all. She was actually kicked out of the house just two weeks before her 18th birthday. She explains that Rosie took it personally after Rosie found out that she was planning to leave and decided to kick her out when she refused to talk to her about it.
Rosie knew I was planning to leave, that’s why I think she kicked me out.
She asked me to talk about what was going on and I didn’t want to. So she asked for my phone and my computer. This was hours before she told me to leave.
I gave them to her. A few hours later, she told me to leave. I wasn’t planning to go until I turned 18 on the 24th.
Rosie said that I was almost 18, and she got all this crap from work, and she didn’t want to have to deal with that at home too.
In fear of being labeled a bad parent Rosie tried to cover up the situation by saying that her daughter had ran away and that she was mentally ill. She posted this on her social media account.
In response, there was a media blitz and Chelsea quickly returned home from a man’s house she was staying at in New Jersey, who just so happened to be her boyfriend.
NO. 6: CHELSEA IS NOT MENTALLY ILL
Chelsea suffers from anxiety and depression. She doesn’t consider herself mentally ill. In fact, she says that she is a lot better off then she used to be.
I wouldn’t say I’m mentally ill – I would say lots of people struggle with what I have.
What Chelsea is implying is not that we are all mentally ill but that we all suffer from being depressed and anxious to some degree or another. When you are rich you have more options then us regular folk to help you deal with those issues. One of those options are special schools…this is what Rosie did to Chelsea. Chelsea was sent away to two different schools that specialized in emotional development. The first school was located in Utah where Chelsea spent over 2 years from age 13 to 15. The 2nd school that she attended was much closer to home, located just in Massachusetts. This school was less strict and she was allowed to go home every couple of weekends because it was just a bus ride away.
As you can imagine, the act of sending Chelsea 2000 miles away put a strain on her and Rosie’s relationship. Especially at a time when a teenager needs their families support the most, not to mention a girl and her mother. Chelsea said there is indeed some resentment,
I resent her for that. That’s four years of my life that were spent sent away to places where I had very limited freedom and I didn’t want to be.
I think being sent away has played a huge part in why our relationship is so hard.
NO. 5: ROSIE PUFFIN WEED, LISTENING TO EMINEM AND CHRIS BROWN?!?
Chelsea says that Rosie purchased the neighbors entire house and turned it into an arts and craft house where she would sometime spend entire days down there smoking weed and blasting Chris Brown, Eminem and Madonna. She says that they were allowed down there if they wanted to go, but it was basically Rosie’s hideout.
She has a whole house which is just for her arts and crafts. She bought the next door neighbor’s house. She goes and spends all day down there,
Rosie does a lot of painting and doodles on these little ‘Munny’ dolls which she puts her signature on and sells online.
The kids were allowed inside the arts and crafts house. It has paint all over the floors and walls, it’s kind of a mess but it’s still nice. Rosie has her desk and computer in there and little stools around tables.
MUNNY DOLLS? Of course I had to find out exactly what those are. They are dolls that you can hand paint and pose. Rosie’s are found all over the internet and she has some hand painted ones for sale on her website, Rosi.com. Here is what they look like.

NO.4: PUBLIC ROSIE IS A BIG PHONY
Chelsea explains that the bubbly jovial, family first Rosie that we see on TV is far from what the real Rosie is at home. She explained,
I find her not genuine a lot of the time. When we’d go out, she was a completely different person in public than at home and I had a hard time with that. It’s like two different people.
She says that Rosie barely gets dressed and wears spandex all day and sleeps very late. She says that Dakota (the youngest adopted daughter) sleeps in Rosie’s room sometimes and when she wakes up before Rosie, Rosie would come out and hand Dakota to one of the nannies and then go back to bed for hours. She said that Rosie did not smoke weed in front of the children but the whole house smelled like it. She said that she only wore make up when a professional makeup artist would come and do it for her. Chelsea described a typical dinner as take out. There were very few home cooked meals,
Our dinners were mostly ordering in pizza or Chinese food because nobody could really cook except for my other mom, Kelli [Carpenter, Rosie’s first ex-wife].
Rosie would eat takeout with us and if there were cookies in the house, she would eat them all. She was always coming into our rooms and asking if we had candy.
She would drink beer when we were growing up but after her heart attack she couldn’t. Now I think she drinks wine.
Rosie would put on this big front in public but as soon as they returned home she would either lock herself in the art house or just watch documentaries. She was not engaging with her family despite what she portrayed in public.
I feel she should be her real self, who she really is. She has this public persona; she will put this big smile on her face and try to be funny. She would always go up to people and want to hold their babies in public. She had this happy, friendly side to her.
Whereas when we were home, even if it was on the same day, she would either just be in her room, not engaging with us, or watching documentaries.
And if we didn’t want to do what she wanted to do, it would cause a big issue.
NO.3: WHY ROSIE LEFT THE VIEW

Rosie had a heart attack in in August 2012 so her doctors advised her that too much stress obviously was not good. In 2014 during Rosie’s return to ‘The View’ things were not as smooth as she expected and her marriage to her 2nd wife Michelle began to breakdown at the same time.
Two months prior to Rosie having issues with her heart, her wife Michelle was diagnosed with desmoid tumors. She had surgery and as a result was on medication. Rosie thought, two years later that she was abusing her meds.
Michelle was on a lot of medication. Rosie thought she was misusing her medication, she was sleeping all day, every day.
This became an issue. Thanksgiving of 2014 is where things came to a head in their marriage. Michelle and her family and Rosie were in Rosie’s Florida home for the holiday. Michelle and her family got into a heated exchange with Rosie and decided to pack up and leave. Chelsea said according to Rosie,
…On the Thanksgiving trip [in 2014], Michelle had said horrible things about me and my siblings. Michelle and her family got up and left Rosie alone in the Florida house in the middle of the night. I guess that was the final straw.
Rosie told Michelle she needed to move out by a certain day before me and my siblings got home. When we got back, she was gone.
As if that wasn’t stressful enough, ‘The View’ was adding an extra layer of stress to everything and it came to a point where Rosie just could not take it. Chelsea said that Whoopi and Rosie just did not get a long and she thought it would result in her having another heart attack,
She and Whoopi really didn’t get along and she’d come home every day and talk about how she was stoned on set and she was being really mean to her. Rosie said ‘I’ve already had a heart attack, I don’t need this much stress.
She ended her marriage and her career with ABC all within in six months. The people cheered!
NO.2: ROSIE LIED TO CHELSEA ABOUT DETAILS OF HER ADOPTION
Chelsea’s birth mom, Deanna Micoley
Rose told Chelsea that when she was born, she was going through withdrawal from heroin and that her birth mom was using the drug while she was pregnant with Chelsea. Chelsea decided to do some investigating and found out from the hospital that this was not true. She had a normal weight during birth. She then located her biological mom who she still has a great relationship today. Chelsea recounted how he found out the truth,
But I recently went to the hospital in Wisconsin where I was born and got my birth records. They showed that right after birth I was a 9 [on the 0-10 Apgar score used to evaluate newborns] and soon afterwards I was a ’10’ baby. There was nothing in my system and my tests came back clean.
On her 18th birthday she visited her birth mom, a woman by the dame of Deanna Micoley. Micoley picked Chelsea up and they went to Wisconsin for the week where she met the rest of her family. She and Deanna sill talk nearly every day however she has not contacted he biological farther.
NO.1: CHELSEA IS LIVING WITH THE 25 YEAR OLD MAN SHE MET ON TINDER
Chelsea is indeed now living with 25 year old Steven Sheerer and his parents. She met Sheerer on Tinder, where she said she was 19 so he thought she was of age. Sheerer was convicted in 2013 of possessing heroin and marijuana and child endangerment. He received the child endangerment charges because he was in a car with a women and her two children who were one and three at the time. He plead guilty and received 2 years of probation.
She said that she stayed with Sheerer and his parents; he purchased her a disposable phone so she could call her family and friends and that she was not kidnapped. When she returned to Rosie, Steven was charged with was charged with distribution of obscenity to a minor and endangering the welfare of a child. Both charges have since been dropped as well as the no contact order put in place.
Chelsea said when she returned home, Rosie showed her the front door again,
She had two of my bags packed with clothes. Literally ten minutes after the police had dropped me off at the house, I got in a car and went to a friend’s house.
As you can imagine Rosie is not happy with this arrangement at all. She thinks Steven is a gold digger but Chelsea is standing by her man, as most 18 year old girls do, especially when the parents hate him. Chelsea was quick to take to Steven’s defense,
He supports me and I love him. He’s not into anything bad now, he works hard.
Rosie text me the other day and called me a “cash cow”. She said Steve’s family are talking to people about me for money, it’s not nice.
She’s texting me as if Steve is keeping me here and not letting me leave which is not the case. I’m really happy to be here, and happier than I’ve been in years.
MY CONCLUSIONS – SHE’S PRETTY NORMAL AND WE ALREADY KNEW ROSIE WAS A FRAUD.
I have to admit, the entire, lengthy interview portrays Chelsea as a pretty normal, legit young adult despite being raised in a not so normal environment. She doesn’t sound overly angry or vindictive, however she does sound like she might have gotten paid a nice chunk of change for the article.
She comes off as grateful for a seemingly nice childhood and incredibly mature for her age. I was expecting a pretentious spoiled brat which throughout the interview there were no signs of. Rosie must have done something right.
Rosie is exactly who we all thought she was. Fake. Nothing really surprising, however I know now why Whoopi wears those glasses on ‘The View’.
As Chelsea said in her own words, she’s normal,
I’m pretty normal. I guess now I can just prove to Rosie that I am.
