WATCH: Russell Wilson Gives A Funny And Extremely Inspirational Commencement Speech, Full Video Inside!

Do you need some Monday motivation? I know I do, and thankfully this is the best time of year to find motivation. It’s the season of graduations and inspiring commencement speeches. We have seen several great speeches throughout the years, and you can find most of them on YouTube.

But we’re focusing on just one today. Seniors at the University of Wisconsin got a special treat this past weekend when Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson dropped by to deliver a commencement speech that was filled with humor and a lot of heart.

He started off with some humor by telling the seniors what they should do when they land someone who is way out of their league, “I’m also here to share some things I’ve learned. Things like if you’re dating a woman that’s way out of your league, ask her to marry you.”

Of course, he’s talking about the beautiful and talented Ciara.

He continued by giving another example…

And if you’re playing the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl and you’ve got 26 seconds left and you’re down by four and it’s second-and-goal on their 1-yard line, try not to throw an interception. That’s purely, purely hypothetical though, of course.

But like we mentioned above, it wasn’t all jokes. The most memorable commencement speeches find that perfect balance between humor and heart. Russell must have been doing his homework because he found that balance.

He talked a little about his late father, and what he might do if he had five more minutes with him…

I miss my dad every single day. People have asked me if I had five more minutes with him, what would I say to him? But I wouldn’t say anything at all. I’d just hug him. That’s what I’d do. I feel blessed knowing that if he were here today, the thing that he’d most be proud of isn’t a Super Bowl ring or a new contract or a big speech at Camp Randall. He’d be proud of my family…So that’s my third charge to the graduates.

Well done, Russell. Touchdown.
