The Truth Comes Out: Camila Cabello Says She Could Not Fully Express Herself In Fifth Harmony
Last year was a rough year for fans of powerful, youthful music groups. One Direction is basically no more, and Fifth Harmony is now Fourth Harmony. The star of the group, Camila Cabello, announced she was leaving the group late last year.
The news shocked everyone, including the other members of the group. They claim Cabello didn’t even have the guts to tell them face-to-face. Instead, she had her “reps” inform the members of the group, and they made sure to put her a** on blast for the shady move.
Since then, the drama has settled a bit, and now Cabello is ready to talk about the real reason she left the group. During an interview with Seventeen magazine, the 19-year-old singer explained that she felt restricted in the group setting.
“Fifth Harmony wasn’t the maximum expression of me individually. My fans are really going to know me from the music I’m writing. My goal is to be brave and open up my soul.”
Nothing too ~juicy~ here. That’s why Zayn Malik left One Direction. It happens a lot in groups. They’re fun to be in when you’re just starting out, but once you find yourself as an artist, it becomes more difficult to stay silent.
But just because she left the group on bad terms doesn’t mean she has any ill feelings toward the girls.
“I’ll continue to wish them all the best, and I’m happy they are continuing their journey as Fifth Harmony. I’m also looking forward to hearing new music from the group and their solo endeavors.”
Now the question is…does she really mean that? Or does she secretly hate them?
