CeeLo Green Remembers How He Used To Rob People After Dropping Out Of School

These days, singer/rapper/producer CeeLo Green is worth a cool $10 million, but he wasn’t always living the high life. Before he became a five-time Grammy winner, CeeLo Green was just trying to survive on the streets of Atlanta.

During an interview with PageSix, the now 46-year-old multimillionaire talked about how he robbed people as a teenager, when he was supposed to be in school.

I was robbing people by myself. You have to understand, I didn’t have any friends and I was not in school. My mom did not know. I dropped out of school, so I was fronting like I was [still] going. So I would leave in the morning when school started at the same time every day. I used to ride the train all day. I was like 13, 14, 15 then. I was young.

CeeLo explained how he used to steal people’s shoes, jackets and other belongings at the train station. “I was the guy taking people’s Jordans, unfortunately” he revealed.

And during the height of his fame, he kinda put all that sh*t behind him, but six years ago, he was forced to remember when a dude approached him.

I had a young dude come up to me and say, ‘You don’t remember me, but I remember you’. He said, ‘I was a victim of your robbery,’ He basically said, ‘You took my shoes at Hightower station,’ which is a MARTA train station in Atlanta, Georgia. And I said, ‘Sir, I’m so sorry. That was so long ago. I was so young and ignorant. Please forgive me.’

The man allegedly told CeeLo that he already forgave him, claiming listening to CeeLo’s music helped him heal, “I was able to heal from your healing,” he told CeeLo.

That’s a solid dude right there. I’d still be pissed! Dude stole my shoes and now he’s worth millions? I WANT MY SHOES BACK, CEELO! GIVE ME MY SHOES BACK!

And get this, CeeLo says this isn’t even the first time he’s been approached by one of his past victims. He claims some lady hit him up on Instagram saying he robbed her at a bus stop for her jacket.

“I’m not proud of that stuff,” he said.
