Mike Tyson Suffers Medical Emergency On Plane, But Jake Paul Says The Fight Is Still On
On Sunday, Mike Tyson reportedly suffered a medical emergency during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. According to the reports, the 57-year-old professional boxer became nauseous and dizzy just 30 minutes before landing.
His reps say this was caused by an ulcer flare up, and they thanked the staff on board for taking care of him, “He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”
They say he’s doing great now, but still, some people are worried if he’s going to be healthy enough for his big fight against Jake Paul, which is scheduled to take place on July 20.
Rumors started floating around that Tyson might have to back out of the match, but Jake Paul was quick to shut those rumors down. He went on his Twitter account and accused the media of making up sh*t.
As mentioned above, the fight is scheduled for July 20, and will be broadcast live on Netflix from AT&T Stadium in Texas. During a press conference promoting the fight, Tyson said accepting the invitation was a no brainer for him.
It was a no-brainer. He’s the new up-and-coming guy on the scene. I like shaking the sports world to its core, and I’m doing that now. It’s just something I want to do.
Hopefully he can stay healthy enough to go through with it. The dude is pushing 60-years-old, and he’s going up against a guy who is still three years away from turning 30.
You have to imagine Tyson will be searching for a KO in the first or second round. I doubt he has the stamina to go multiple rounds.
