Julien’s Hollywood Legend’s auction sold off jewelry and clothes owned by the late Whitney Houston.  I think it’s a little creepy buying Whitney ‘s clothes just weeks after she died.  No, that’s not kinda creepy, that’s downright CREEPY, but if you have this kind of money to blow on Hollywood stuff, you are probably weird anyway.  (Pssst….when you are weird and Rich they call you “eccentric”)

HOW MUCH DID THEY SELL FOR?

A Bustier with Pearls and Rhinestones   $19,200

A Pre-Grammy Party from 1996               $11,520

The Bodyguard Gear – Two pairs of earing and a vest worn in the movie      $8,500

Here is a screen shot from all Whitney’s items:

If you think that was a lot of cheese, how about the real hard to get Hollywood items:

  • A genuine Clark Gable coat, worn in “Gone with the Wind”          $58,000
  • A Dior gown rocked by Grace Kelly                                                           $72,000
  • Charlie Chaplin’s famous hat                                                                       $58,00
  • One of Charlie Chaplain’s Cane                                                                  $41,600

One day I hope to be “eccentric” but for now, I’m good.   I have to admit, some of the stuff they have is pretty cool.  Take a look at the site.  They even had Charlton Heston’s  “Planet of the Ape’s Costume”.  How cool is that!
