Selena Gomez Tells Fans That She’s ‘Not Sexy’

Selena Gomez took some time out at one of her recent concerts to share a little life lesson with her audience.

During a break between songs, Selena Gomez opened up about how she gets told every day that she’s not sexy enough,

“The kids trust me, the parents trust me, and I just have to say: Thank you! Because I hear you guys. I hear what you’re telling me…the stories that you guys go through, and I have to say that I know exactly what you feel. Sometimes it is so hard.

But I have to tell you, I get it all day, every day. That I’m not sexy enough, or I’m not cool enough, or if I did this I would be accepted. Let me tell you one thing: the sexiest thing…is class. I promise you that each and every one of you is made to be who you are. That is what’s so attractive and beautiful. Please don’t forget that, even when it gets hard.”

Some gossip sites are trying to “dig” deep into this little speech. They say that this could be a little insult at Miley Cyrus, but I just don’t see it. Honestly, I think she was just speaking her mind. I don’t think it was really directed at anybody but herself and her fans.

And yeah, she did go out with Justin Bieber, we can all agree that was a mistake. However, if you take that little hiccup away, she has been a pretty great role model for kids. She doesn’t finger herself with foam fingers, or sing about doing drugs. She has managed to be sexy without being nasty, and I respect her for that.

Just stay away from the Biebs, Selena. Please.
