Monteith Snubbed During Oscar Memorial

It happens every single year. The Oscars run their memorial to all the celebrities that passed during the year. While Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Shirley Temple were among the most noted losses, one name notably missing.

Cory Monteith, of Glee, who passed away from a drug overdose in July this year, failed to make the Oscar memorial video. While Monteith failed to make the grade for the television presentation, he did appear in the online memorial.

Generally, the television memorial is reserved for those who worked in movies as opposed to television, however, before his death Monteith has made his big screen début in the film Monte Carlo and the upcoming McCanick.

The online tribute features more than 100 film industry standouts, including Monteith and Sarah Jones, a camera assistant killed on the set of Midnight Rider on February 20.
