Actor Richard Madden Slams Cara Delevingne For Her “Unprofessional” Viral Paper Towns Interview
In a little bit of, “What? People are still talking about this?” news, Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden called Cara Delevingne out for her ungrateful and unprofessional interview.
For those who don’t remember, the 23-year-old actress went viral earlier this year while promoting her film Paper Towns. She was being interviewed early in the morning on Good Day Sacramento, and she didn’t really seem that excited to be promoting the movie. She looked tired and maybe a little annoyed with having to answer the same questions over and over again.
This made the interview extremely awkward. You can check it out in the video below…
To me, she didn’t seem THAT unprofessional during the interview. Was she a bit boring and tired? Yeah, but no one is on 24/7. It’s impossible. And the amount of hate she got for that interview was ridiculous, especially when you compare it to some interviews starring the always delightful Bruce Willis.
But apparently, Richard Madden believes she deserved the criticism. The actor talked to Yahoo! Lifestyle about the interview, and he says Cara needs to toughen up or get out of the business.
It was unprofessional. It made her seem ungrateful. She showed her age. For Cinderella, I did six weeks of those interviews, where you get asked the same eight questions. If you’re not capable of doing it gracefully, then don’t do it.
Damn. It’s always interesting when someone starts an argument with, “Well, when I did this…blabity blahkn gfijbirntisvn blah.” It’s just like your Grandfather telling you how he had to walk 5 miles in the snow to school every single day.
People are different. We all handle things in different ways. And I’d even argue that maybe the anchors were a little unprofessional by taking Cara’s lack of excitement so personally.
What do you think? Does Mr. Madden have a point?
